 When can you see a doctor in Morocco? Generally, doctor’s opening hours are:Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 13.00 and 16.00 to 19.00,Saturday mornings from 9.00 to 13.00.Consultations are available with or without an appointment.The network of medical specialists is extensive and easily accessible. What much does it cost? Rates are as follows:- consultation with a GP: 100 to 120 dirhams (between €8 and €10)- consultation with a specialist: 120 to 200 dirhams (€10 to €15) How good is the quality of care? Quality of care varies considerably from the private to the public sector. It is much better in the private sector and very poor in the public sector. Facilities are maintained to a higher standard and there are fewer staff shortages in the private sector.There are too few health professionals and these are concentrated in the major cities of Casablanca and around Rabat-Salé. In addition, staff are poorly paid in the public sector, which does nothing to encourage Moroccans to take these jobs, preferring to work in the private sector. What languages do doctors speak? It is easy to find doctors who speak English and French in the big cities.Many Moroccan doctors studied in France.
